SILVERZONE FOUNDATION OLYMPIAD: A Triumph in Academic Achievement

The Silverzone Foundation Olympiad at SIES APJ Kindergarten was a success, with 110 youngsters demonstrating their academic abilities.

40 pupils won gold, 30 silver, and 30 bronze medals, demonstrating their unique abilities.

This effort demonstrates the school's dedication to holistic education by encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills outside of the classroom.


CONTINUOUS ACADEMIC EVALUATION AND SKILL ENHANCEMENT:

Assessments like the 1st Unit Test, STARS' (Strengthening Teaching - Learning and Results for States) PAT Examination, and competitive examinations like NELTAS were conducted, ensuring ongoing evaluation and skill development among students.


NELTAS (National English Language Test (Std II to IV))

315 students qualified for the ECAT Grand finale level. Students also registered for MCAT and SCAT exams.

Mast. Darsh D. Thingalaya (IV D) & Miss. Durva D. Dhondkar (II A) received a Gold medal and certificate of merit.


N-WARD MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF GREATER MUMBAI

Competitions like Show and Tell, Fancy Dress, Story Telling, Drawing, Expressive Reading, and Memory Test Competition were conducted by the N-Ward, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

Sincere Gratitude

An amount of Rs 2,31,705/- was disbursed to students from classes V to X as scholarship from SEAT (SIES Education Assistance Trust).

An amount of Rs 2,88,000/- was disbursed to students from classes VIII to X as scholarship from GSIET (Ghatkopar South Indian Education Trust).


Climate Ambassadors (SIES- Climate Ambassadors Programme)

Climate Ambassadors Program (CAP) is a Programme launched by SIES, Indian Institute of Environment Management with a view to make a positive impact on the world we live in.

SIES (Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam) Memorial High School conducted the following activities as a part of this CAP Programme:

  • Wild Vegetable Fest - 21st July, 2023.
  • Introductory Session on Eco-friendly Ganapati - 31st August, 2023.
  • Workshop on Eco-friendly Ganpati - 11th to 13th September, 2023.
  • Exhibition on Eco-friendly Ganpati idols - 15th September, 2023.
  • Visit to Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Udyan and Zoo, Byculla - 21st August, 2023.
  • Energy Conservation Awareness Programme - 9th October, 2023.
  • Programme on Plastic Waste Management - 12th October, 2023.
  • Participated in the Environment Masterclass organised by Environmentalist Master Class Organised Foundation of India (E.F.I) - 17th November, 2023.
  • Visit to Maharashtra Nature Park, Sion - 30th November, 2023.
  • Herbarium workshop - 11th December, 2023.
  • Visit to Regional Meteorological Centre, Colaba - 31st January, 2024.
  • Beach Cleanup at Prabhadevi Beach, Dadar - 17th February, 2024.

Endowment

Endowment prizes worth Rs 1,50,893/- were given to the beneficiaries from Nursery to Std X.
