and varied approach. For bringing excellence, quality in
the existing system needs to be constantly re-examined,
redefined and reinvented, so that individuals are able to
develop skills to meet their future needs as creative
members of the society.
SIES (Dr. APJ Abdul kalam Memorial) High school, along
with all the supporting members ; Parent Teacher
Association works to cater to the all round development
of the student fraternity with various extra - curricular
activities, competitions, events and external
examinations for the holistic development of the pupils.
EXTERNAL EXAMS
Every year in our school various external exams are conducted. Teachers
encourage the students to appear for these exams . In the academic year 2021 -2022, various
exams were held online due to covid-19. Students were guided by the teachers for registration
and preparation for the exams.

4. Neltas-(English Grammar Exam) : From std I to std IV many children appeared for the exam and few of them
were selected for the Grand Finale.
MEMORY TEST
In the academic year 2021 - 2022, a memory test was conducted for students of Std 1 and 2
on 10th March 2022. Memory test assess the ability of memory and
improves the students' capacity to store the information in memory.
The test was conducted in two rounds, semi-final and final. In the semi-
final round, students who wrote more words with
correct spellings in the given time limit were selected. In the final round, more things were added and the evaluation was done using the same parameters as the semi-final round .
Prizes were awarded to top 3 winners and 2 students bagged consolation prizes .
TALENT COMPETITIONS
Various talent competitions were held in S.I.E.S (DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM MEMORIAL)
HIGH SCHOOL in academic year 2021-2022.Students participated in following
competitions and showed their talents. Competitions were judged by the school
teachers.

Judges gave their results after the competitions.Judges result was the final result.
GEETA CHANTING
There were many students who have participated
in Geeta Chanting. We have taught Many verses from the
Bhagwat Geeta that to the students. They had enjoyed a
lot because they learned something new that helped them
to gain confidence with the help of Geeta Chanting. We feel
fresh. It creates positivty in the students. From the
primary section there were 30 students who participated in
the Geeta chanting and some of them have won the prize.
Mast. Rakesh Minat got the consolation prize in this year. It
was held on December 11, 2021 and the trophies were
distributed on Monday, 28 February 2022.

DR. HOMI BHABHA BAL VAIDNYAMIK COMPETITION
Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition is conducted by Greater
Bombay Science Teachers' Association since 1981. This unique four stage
competition aims at arousing curiosity, problem solving attitude along
with development of precision in observational and motor skills in
young scientists. Through the competition, GBSTA also aims at sensitizing
students towards their immediate environment and dare to take
rational initiatives whenever needed.

School conducts International Olympiad of Science every year in
collaboration with SILVERZONE FOUNDATION.
INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD OF ENGLISH(IOEL)
Since the year 2015, our school encourages the participation of
students in International Olympiad of English (IOEL), to enhance their
English language. The Olympiad is organised in collaboration with
Silver Zone Foundation, NELTAS. A good number of students have
brought laurels to the school by winning several medals.

DRAWING - POSTER MAKING
An Exhibition was conducted by SIES Matunga in the year 2019-20. It
was organised by INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION (ISRO),
Department of Space: Government of India. Various competitions were
conducted.In the Poster Making Competition, our student,
Kum. Siddhi
Vijay Jadhav secured the FIRST position and was honoured with a
Certificate of Merit.
