February 2026 marked the
occasion of the 350th Shaheedi Samaroh of Guru Tegh
Bahadur Sahib Ji. The school commemorated the day with a soulful
group song and a quiz competition for students of Std. VI, VII, and VIII. The
event witnessed enthusiastic and overwhelming participation from the students.
The 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21stJune, 2025 with the theme One Earth, One Health. Yoga day is celebrated to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice, that needs to be carried out every day. Performance of Yoga enables children to bring good co-ordination between the mind and body.
On 20th June 2025, our school proudly hosted a vibrant and educational Microgreens Exhibition in the school
quadrangle, reflecting the school ongoing commitment to
sustainability, healthy living, and hands-on science learning.
The Investiture Ceremony was celebrated in our school on 10th July 2025, inspiring leadership as newly elected student leaders took their oaths with pride and responsibility.

Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav Celebration at SIES Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial High School
Our school proudly celebrated Green Traditions: Celebrating Culture, Conserving Nature through an Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav Celebration on August 23, 2025. The event featured a vibrant exhibition-cum-showcase where our talented students presented eco-friendly Ganesha idols, decorative pieces, tote bags, colours and jewellery, highlighting creativity and sustainability.
Parents and visitors were encouraged to "Own your Bappa by taking home these idols, spreading the message of eco-conscious festivities while supporting student talent. The event was filled with devotion, creativity, and the spirit of conservation, making it a truly memorable occasion. Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Ganeshotsav!
A visit to BNHS( Bombay Natural History Society) View Gallery
A biodiversity field study was arranged on 22 January 2026 for around 56 students of SIES Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial High School Ghatkopar to the Bombay Natural History Society ( BNHS) to observe and document the flora and fauna thriving in the CEC campus and nearby forest area.
Camera trapping was used to record nocturnal and shy animals .Identification techniques helped in recognising animals based on physical patterns .Drones were used for range and habitat monitoring.
The biodiversity field visit was highly informative and educational.
It enhanced the students understanding of local flora and fauna and highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation.
Human Chain - Together for a greener planet View Gallery
The school organized a meaningful activity to promote togetherness and environmental
responsibility. The celebration aimed to create awareness among students about the
importance of protecting our planet.
Students enthusiastically participated by taking a pledge to save the Earth and
promised to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. To symbolize unity and
collective responsibility, they formed a human chain within the school premises,
spreading the message that every individual plays a vital role in safeguarding the
environment.
The students also expressed their thoughts creatively by writing impactful slogans on
chart papers, highlighting the need to reduce pollution, conserve resources, and protect
nature.
