GRANDPARENTS DAY

On October 13th, Grandparents Day was joyfully celebrated with games, heartfelt memory sharing, and a touchingly crafted gratitude greeting card from the grandchildren to their grandparents, creating cherished moments of love and connection.

SANSKRIT DAY

Sanskrit Day was celebrated on 25th January. Our tiny tots enthusiastically participated and creatively enacted the characters of Gandhari, Dhritrashtra, Eklavya, Arjuna and Bheem through a captivating ramp walk. The event beautifully highlighted cultural diversity and historical richness, making it a memorable experience for all the participants and attendees.

On 27th January the school joyously celebrated its Annual day. Nursery kids unfolded the programme with adorable performance of "Magic Masti Manoranjan". Junior KG kids stole the hearts of the audience with their performance "Social media unplugged". Senior KG kids showcased "Desi Dhamal " Reflecting the diverse culture of India.

WORKSHOPS

October 6 and November 1, 2023, a workshop was conducted for Kindergarten teachers on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). Dr. Vidhya Satish Madam (Director of SIES Comprehensive Education) served as the resource person, providing valuable insights for enhancing early childhood education. The enchanted Garden of Learning NEP 2020 presentation was held on 31st January 2024.

SIES Matunga and SIES Ghatkopar teachers showcased their presentations with exceptional finesse, creating a beautiful narrative of educational excellence. The collaborative efforts of both schools teaching teams resulted in harmony blend of knowledge and creativity. The beauty of their presentation lay in the dedication and expertise that each group brought to the table. Dr. Vidhya Satish Mam (Director of SIES Comprehensive Education) inaugurated the Jaadui pitara, marking a momentous occasion. The summary captured the magical essence of the event. The total strength of students is 558 for the year 2023-2024.


ENTHRALLING EXCURSION TO BACCHA PARTY: A DAY OF FUN AND MEMORES

On March 12th, children were taken on an excursion to Baccha Party, where they enjoyed fulfilling games, hands-on experiences, and much more. They returned with mesmerizing memories.

PARENTS ORENTATION AND COMMITTEEE FORMATION

n the 17th of June 2023, an informative Parents Orientation session for students of Std I to IV was conducted by the Head Teacher, Mrs. Sylvia S. Nadar. Concurrently, Parents' Meet was held, leading to the formation of various committees such as PTA, SMC, MATA PALAK, TRANSPORTATION, and MID-DAY MEAL, ensuring active parental involvement in the school's affairs.

TEXTBOOK DISTRIBUTION

Through the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the government provided textbooks for students ranging from Standard I to Standard IV, ensuring access to essential learning resources for all.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Celebrated on the 21st of June, the school embraced the practice of yoga, highlighting its significance for physical and mental well-being.

INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

Commemorated on the 26th of June, the school joined in taking an oath against substance abuse, involving teachers, parents, and students alike in promoting a drug-free environment.

BRIDGE COURSE AND LEARNING EVALUATION

As per the Education Department's directive, a Bridge course was organized for students of Std II to IV to assess their learning outcomes, ensuring continuous progress in academic pursuits.

SURVEY ON ILLITERACY (NILP)

Teachers undertook a significant initiative to address illiteracy by conducting a survey aimed at integrating marginalized individuals into the community through education..

MERI MATTI MERA DESH CAMPAIGN

In honour of India's 76th Independence Day, various activities were conducted, including the "Panch Pran Shapath," National Anthem recitation, and flag hoisting, fostering patriotism and civic responsibility among students.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXTRACURRICULAR ENGAGEMENTS

The school facilitated a myriad of activities encompassing academics, sports, and cultural enrichment, including examinations, training programs, competitions, and workshops, fostering holistic development among students

PLEDGE OF NIPUN BHARAT

The commitment to excellence in education was reaffirmed through the "Pledge of NIPUN Bharat" undertaken by teachers and the Mata Palak committee, emphasizing the collective responsibility towards fostering a knowledgeable society.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND PATRIOTIC ENGAGEMENTS

Various activities, such as tree plantation drives, patriotic song choruses, and crafting tri-colour badges, were organized to instil environmental consciousness and national pride among students.

EERO KA NAMAN-HONOURING COMMUNITY HEROES

The school demonstrated gratitude and respect by honouring Mr. Chandrakant More, a dedicated Fire Driver Operator under BMC, alongside esteemed school committee members, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to society.

DRAWING COMPETITION

Students actively participated in the Mayor's Drawing Competition, engaging in creative endeavours and showcasing their artistic talents

PHYSICAL EDUCATION TRAINING

Mrs. Seema H. Jadhav and Mrs. Shruti S. Rane attended a 5 day of Physical education training in the month of September arranged by the BMC.

CELEBRATIONS, CULTURAL, AND EXTRACURRICULAR ENRICHMENT

Significant days like Gandhi Jayanti and Savitribai Phule Jayanti were celebrated with speeches and student presentations, emphasizing the importance of social reform and cultural heritage. The school facilitated diverse cultural and extracurricular activities, including Diwali special camps, VACHAN PRERNA DIN celebrations including book reviews, poem recitations, Quotes of DR.APJ Abdul Kalam and his speeches and competitions in various domains, promoting holistic development and nurturing individual

N-WARD MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF GREATER MUMBAI

Competitions like Show and Tell, Fancy Dress, Story Telling, Drawing, Expressive Reading, and Memory Test Competition, were conducted by the N-Ward, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

SAFETY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Proactive measures were taken to ensure student safety, including the formation of 'Sakhi Savitri Samiti' and conducting fire mock drills. Additionally, community engagement initiatives like the Cleanliness Campaign rally showcased the school's commitment to societal well-being.

CULMINATION OF EVENTS AND FUTURE ENDEAVOURS

The academic year was marked by significant events, fostering a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment. The school organized a variety of competitions aimed at fostering the all-round development of students. These included Drawing, Handwriting, Singing, Essay Writing, Storytelling, Elocution, Fancy Dress, Folk Dance, Spell Bee, Memory Test, Expressive Reading, and Quiz competitions. Furthermore, a comprehensive health check-up was conducted for students from grades 1 to 4, ensuring their physical well-being.

In line with the commitment to improving teaching quality, management facilitated Learning Interventions and provided training sessions for permanent teachers. These sessions, conducted in batches over a five-day period, were held at Jayantilal Hindi School, Ghatkopar (W), during December and January. Under the initiative "Maji Shala Sundar Shala," various activities were undertaken to enhance the learning environment. These activities encompassed classroom decorations, sapling planting, painting the school building walls, promoting proper handwashing techniques, beautifying classrooms and the school premises through graffiti art, and conducting informative sessions on menstrual hygiene for grade 4 girls. Both teachers and students actively participated in a rally advocating for cleanliness on 26.1.2024, demonstrating the school's commitment to community welfare. The school community came together to celebrate its Annual Day on 27.1.2024, showcasing the talents and achievements of students.

Additionally, an insightful workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) was organized by Mrs. Vidya Satish on 31.1.2023, catering specifically to pre-primary and primary teachers of grades 1 and 2, aiming to align teaching methodologies with contemporary educational reforms. By encompassing these diverse initiatives, the school endeavours to provide a holistic educational experience that nurtures students' intellectual, physical, and social development. Looking ahead, preparations are underway for the Second Semester Examination and continued implementation of educational initiatives.

Pariksha Pe Charcha, an online session was conducted on 29th January,24 where in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the student fraternity on crucial aspects of students' life and exam preparation. Students from V-IX attended the session.
